It’s that time of year when many of our personal training clients may be thinking about their New Year Resolutions. Yes, we are still in December, but some people will already be looking ahead to what they would like to achieve in 2016.
This doesn’t just apply to personal training clients; many personal trainers will also be looking ahead to the New Year and thinking about what 2016 has in store for them. What new CPD courses will they be doing? What skills do they want to learn? Are there areas they would like to specialise in? If they are self-employed or a business owner, what will 2016 look like from a financial point of view.
What about you? What goals do you want to achieve? In the world of constantly changing research about health and fitness, I think it’s important, especially if you want to stay ahead of the competition, that all personal trainers commit to attending regular CPD courses and workshops.
We all know the benefits of attending regular CPD courses and workshops:
- Keep your knowledge up to date – use the latest training methods with your clients to add variety to their 1:1 sessions and programmes
- Increased client retention – clients not only love a knowledgeable trainer, but respect personal trainers who keep their knowledge up to date as it shows you are passionate about your job and want the best for them
- Increased client retention – put your new found knowledge into practice, keep hitting new goals with your clients and they will love you and want to stay with you forever!
- Attract new clients – attend CPD courses and workshops in specialist areas to attract a new client base
