We’ve all heard the saying that results are based on 20% exercise, 80% nutrition but is this the same when it comes to nutrition and hypertrophy?
Our 3 hour Nutrition for Hypertrophy workshop looks at how to use nutrition to gain optimum results with your hypertrophy clients. We know if a weight loss client wants to lose 1lb per week they need a negative energy balance of 500 calories per day, but is gaining weight through hypertrophy as simple as reversing this and having a positive energy balance of 500 calories per day? We look at how to correctly calculate energy requirements for muscle growth.
The workshop looks at the correct ratio of macro-nutrients and micro-nutrients required to hit those hypertrophy goals. Much research and discussion on hypertrophy centres around protein intake and this is a key element of the workshop – how much? when? where from? But it’s not just protein we should be mindful of when it comes to nutrition and hypertrophy; as personal trainers or fitness instructors we should have a good understanding of how carbohydrates and fats affect any hypertrophy goals. We also look at whether supplements are necessary and how sleep can also affect muscle building.
The correct nutrition for achieving hypertrophy goals really can be a minefield, so this workshop aims to provide you with straightforward, but effective, advice on how you can effectively use nutrition to hit your or your clients hypertrophy goals.
If you’re a personal trainer or a fitness instructor working with hypertrophy clients then this course is a must for you. You may even want to invite your personal training client’s with you so that they get a deep understanding of what is required from a nutritional point of view for them to hit their hypertrophy goals.
